Carolina Marín

Carolina Marín, born on June fifteenth, nineteen ninety-three, is a celebrated former professional badminton player from Spain. Renowned as one of the greatest female badminton players in history, she has achieved remarkable success on the international stage, including being an Olympic Champion and a three-time World Champion.

Marín made history by winning the Olympic gold medal in women's singles at the two thousand sixteen Rio Olympics, becoming the only non-Asian female player to achieve this feat. Her dominance continued as she clinched the World Championships title in two thousand fourteen, two thousand fifteen, and two thousand eighteen, while also holding the prestigious World No. 1 ranking for an impressive total of sixty-six weeks.

In addition to her Olympic and World Championship successes, Marín is the only player to have won a gold medal in the singles’ discipline of all continental championships. She has secured every European Championships title from two thousand fourteen to two thousand twenty-four, along with an European Games title in two thousand twenty-three.
