Caroline Polachek

Caroline Polachek, born on June twentieth, nineteen eighty-five, is a multifaceted American singer, songwriter, and producer. Raised in Connecticut, she co-founded the indie pop band Chairlift while pursuing her studies at the University of Colorado Boulder. The duo gained recognition in the late two-thousands Brooklyn music scene with their sleeper hit 'Bruises'.

In two thousand fourteen, Polachek ventured into her solo career, releasing her first project, 'Arcadia', under the moniker Ramona Lisa. Following this, she released 'Drawing the Target Around the Arrow' in two thousand seventeen as CEP. That same year, Chairlift disbanded, allowing her to fully embrace her artistic identity.

Polachek's solo work has garnered critical acclaim, particularly her two thousand nineteen album 'Pang', which showcased an avant-pop sound. The single 'So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings' became a viral sensation, further establishing her as a prominent figure in contemporary music. In two thousand twenty-three, she released 'Desire, I Want To Turn Into You', marking her first album to chart in multiple territories and earning a nomination for Best Engineered Album at the sixty-sixth Annual Grammy Awards.

Throughout her career, Polachek has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including Blood Orange, Fischerspooner, Charli XCX, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Flume. She has also penned tracks for notable musicians such as Beyoncé, with the song 'No Angel', and Travis Scott, contributing to 'SDP interlude'.
