Carrie Fisher, born on October 21, 1956, was a multifaceted American actress and writer, best known for her iconic role as Princess Leia in the original Star Wars trilogy (1977–1983). She reprised this beloved character in the sequel trilogy, appearing in The Force Awakens (2015), The Last Jedi (2017), and The Rise of Skywalker (2019), the latter utilizing previously unreleased footage. Beyond her legendary portrayal in the Star Wars saga, Fisher's filmography includes notable performances in classics such as Shampoo (1975), The Blues Brothers (1980), and When Harry Met Sally...
