Casey Stoney, born on May thirteenth, nineteen eighty-two, is a distinguished English football manager and former player, currently leading the Canada women's national soccer team. Renowned for her versatility as a defender, Stoney earned over one hundred caps for the England women's national football team, making her debut in two thousand.

Stoney's international career highlights include being a key player in the England squads that reached the UEFA Women's Euro two thousand nine final and the quarter-finals of the FIFA Women's World Cup in two thousand seven and two thousand eleven. In two thousand twelve, she took on the role of England captain, succeeding Faye White, and also captained the newly formed Great Britain squad during the 2012 Summer Olympics.

After concluding her playing career at Liverpool Ladies, Stoney transitioned into coaching, becoming the first head coach of Manchester United Women from June two thousand eighteen to May two thousand twenty-one.
