Catherine Lalonde

Catherine Lalonde is a distinguished poet and journalist hailing from Montreal, Quebec. Her artistic journey began at a young age, as she published her first collection of poems, Jeux de brume, at just sixteen. With a background in theatre and contemporary dance, she has seamlessly blended her passions for the performing arts and literature throughout her career.

She has worked as a physical trainer and has penned articles for notable publications such as Le Devoir, Le Libraire, Livre d'Ici, and Entre les lignes. In nineteen ninety-seven, she received the Prix de la nouvelle awarded by Radio-Canada, and her collection of poetry, Corps étranger, won the prestigious Prix Émile-Nelligan in two thousand eight.

In two thousand nine, Lalonde showcased her innovative spirit by presenting La nuit sera longue, a multi-media performance that beautifully intertwined poetry, dance, and theatre.
