Cecilia Brækhus

Cecilia Brækhus, born on September twenty-eighth, nineteen eighty-one, is a distinguished Colombian-born Norwegian former professional boxer and kickboxer. She made history by reigning as the undisputed female welterweight boxing champion from two thousand fourteen to two thousand twenty, becoming the first woman in any weight class to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO titles.

Brækhus is celebrated as one of only eleven boxers, regardless of gender, to have achieved the remarkable feat of holding all four major world titles at the same time. Additionally, she held the IBO title from two thousand sixteen until her retirement in two thousand twenty. In her final fight in October two thousand twenty-five, she secured the WBC and WBO female super-welterweight titles.

Her accolades extend beyond the ring; in two thousand seventeen, the Boxing Writers Association of America honored Brækhus as their inaugural Female Fighter of the Year.
