Charbel Makhlouf

Charbel Makhlouf, born Youssef Antoun Makhlouf on May 8, 1828, was a revered Lebanese Maronite monk and priest. His life was marked by a profound commitment to spirituality and community, earning him a reputation for holiness that transcended religious boundaries. Charbel was known for his remarkable ability to foster unity among Christians, Muslims, and Druze, reflecting his deep dedication to peace and harmony.

Affectionately referred to as the 'Miracle Monk of Lebanon,' Charbel's legacy is celebrated for the numerous favors attributed to his intercession. His feast day is commemorated on July twenty-fourth by the Latin Church and on the third Sunday of July by the Maronite Church, highlighting his enduring impact on the Christian community.
