His career took a remarkable turn in nineteen ninety-one when he began voicing the iconic character Mario in the beloved Mario franchise, a role he maintained until his retirement in twenty twenty-three. During this time, he also lent his voice to other memorable characters, including Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, and the baby versions of Mario and Luigi.

In addition to his work in the Mario series, Martinet is renowned for his portrayal of Paarthurnax in the critically acclaimed video game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, released in two thousand eleven.
