Charles-Omer Valois

Charles-Omer Valois, born on April 24, 1924, in Montreal, was a distinguished Canadian prelate of the Catholic Church. His journey in the realm of theology began when he was ordained a priest on June 3, 1950, marking the start of a lifelong commitment to his faith and community.

On June 10, 1977, Valois was appointed as the bishop of the Diocese of Saint-Jérôme, a significant milestone in his ecclesiastical career. He was ordained as a bishop shortly thereafter, on June 29, 1977, taking on the responsibilities of spiritual leadership and guidance within the diocese.

Valois dedicated nearly two decades to his role as bishop, during which he made substantial contributions to the church and its followers. His tenure came to a close when he resigned from the diocese on January 22, 1997, leaving behind a legacy of service and devotion.
