Charles the Younger

Charles the Younger, born in the year seven hundred seventy-two, was the esteemed son of Charlemagne, the illustrious Frankish ruler, and his beloved wife, Queen Hildegard. As the second son of Charlemagne, Charles quickly distinguished himself, gaining favor over his older half-brother Pepin, who was possibly illegitimate.
