Charlie Cox

Charlie Cox, born on December 15, 1982, is an accomplished English-American actor renowned for his versatile performances across film, television, and stage. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, particularly in the acclaimed series Daredevil from 2015 to 2018 and the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again.

Before his rise to fame in superhero roles, Cox showcased his talent in various productions. He played Owen Sleater in HBO's Boardwalk Empire during its second and third seasons and took on the role of Jonathan Hellyer Jones in the 2014 biographical film The Theory of Everything. His breakout performance came in 2007 when he starred as Tristan Thorn in the fantasy film Stardust, which marked the beginning of a successful career in predominantly British productions.

In addition to his screen work, Cox made a significant impact on stage. He made his West End debut in 2008 with a revival of Harold Pinter's plays The Lover and The Collection. His stage career continued to flourish, culminating in a notable performance in the 2019 production of Pinter's Betrayal, which he performed first in the West End and later on Broadway.

More recently, Cox has appeared in the RTÉ drama series Kin from 2021 to 2023 and the Netflix miniseries Treason in 2022.
