Charmaine Crooks

Charmaine Crooks, born on August 8, 1962, in Mandeville, Jamaica, is a distinguished Canadian businesswoman, sports executive, and a retired sprinter and middle-distance runner. With nearly two decades representing Canada in athletics, Crooks has made a significant mark in the world of sports.

As a five-time Olympian, she achieved remarkable success, including a silver medal and a national record of three minutes and twenty-one point twenty-one seconds in the 4 x 400 metres relay alongside her teammates Jillian Richardson, Molly Killingbeck, and Marita Payne. Notably, she was the first Canadian woman to complete the 800 metres in under two minutes, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication.
