Renowned for his remarkable achievements, he captured the gold medal at the 2016 Olympics, solidifying his status as one of the sport's elite. In addition to his Olympic triumph, Chen is a two-time World champion and an Asian champion, showcasing his dominance on the international stage.

His journey to greatness began in 2007 when he clinched the boys' singles title at both the Asian and World Junior Championships. This early success paved the way for his first professional victory at the Philippines Open in 2009, marking the start of a stellar career.
