Cheri DiNovo

Cheri DiNovo, born in nineteen fifty, is a distinguished minister of the United Church of Canada and a former politician who made significant contributions to Ontario, Canada. Before embarking on her political journey, she served the Emmanuel-Howard Park congregation in Toronto, where she dedicated herself to her faith and community.

Her political career began when she was elected as a member of the New Democratic Party, representing Parkdale—High Park in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. DiNovo's tenure spanned from two thousand six to two thousand seventeen, during which she was first elected in a by-election on September fourteenth, two thousand six. Her commitment to her constituents and progressive values marked her time in office.

After a decade of public service, Cheri DiNovo retired from politics on December thirty-first, two thousand seventeen. Following her retirement, she continued her ministry and, since January two thousand eighteen, has been serving as the minister for the Trinity-St. Paul's Centre for Faith, Justice and the Arts, where she combines her passion for faith with advocacy for social justice and the arts.
