Chester Bennington

Chester Bennington, born on March 20, 1976, was a renowned American singer and songwriter, best known as the lead vocalist of the iconic rock band Linkin Park. His career took off with the release of Linkin Park's debut album, Hybrid Theory, in 2000, which became a global sensation and was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America in 2005, marking it as the bestselling debut album of the decade.

Throughout his illustrious career, Bennington was not only the voice of Linkin Park but also contributed to other musical projects, including Grey Daze and Dead by Sunrise, the latter of which he formed in 2005. The band's debut album, Out of Ashes, was released in 2009. In 2013, he took on the role of lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots, releasing the extended play High Rise, before returning his focus entirely to Linkin Park in 2015.

In addition to his musical talents, Bennington ventured into acting, appearing in films such as Crank, Crank: High Voltage, and Saw 3D. Despite his professional success, he faced personal struggles with depression and substance abuse throughout his life, which ultimately culminated in his tragic passing on July 20, 2017, at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California. The coroner ruled his death as a suicide by hanging.
