Ching Siu-tung

Ching Siu-tung, also known as Tony Ching, is a prominent figure in the Hong Kong film industry, celebrated for his multifaceted talents as a film director, action choreographer, producer, and screenwriter. Born on January 1, 1953, he has made significant contributions to cinema, particularly in the action and fantasy genres.

With a career spanning several decades, Ching has directed over twenty films, with his most notable work being the critically acclaimed supernatural fantasy, A Chinese Ghost Story, released in nineteen eighty-seven. This film not only showcased his directorial prowess but also solidified his reputation as a master of action choreography.

In addition to his film work, Ching produced an extravagant music video for the French singer Mylène Farmer, titled L'Âme-stram-gram. This project was notable for its lavish budget of one million euros, reflecting his commitment to high-quality production values.

Ching's artistic journey began with his education at the Eastern Drama Academy, where he honed his skills in performance and storytelling. He also dedicated seven years to training in Northern Style Kung Fu, which has greatly influenced his approach to action choreography in film.
