Chip Zdarsky, born Steven Murray on December 21, 1975, is a multifaceted Canadian talent known for his work as a comic book artist, writer, journalist, and illustrator. With a career that spans various creative fields, Zdarsky has made a significant impact in the world of comics and journalism.

Before fully immersing himself in the comic book industry, Zdarsky spent over a decade at the National Post, where he showcased his skills as an illustrator and humorist. His work included the popular "Extremely Bad Advice" column and contributions to The Ampersand, the newspaper's online pop culture section.

Utilizing the Zdarsky pseudonym for his comic-related endeavors, he has co-created notable works such as "Sex Criminals" alongside writer Matt Fraction, and has illustrated titles like "Prison Funnies" and "Monster Cops." His writing credits include acclaimed series for major publishers, including Marvel Comics' "Howard the Duck," "Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man," "Daredevil," and "Spider-Man: Life Story," as well as contributions to DC Comics' "Batman" and Archie Comics' "Jughead."
