Choi Soo-young

Choi Soo-young, born on February 10, 1990, is a multifaceted South Korean artist known for her talents as a singer, actress, songwriter, and model. She began her career in the music industry as a member of the short-lived Korean-Japanese duo Route 0 in 2002 while in Japan. After returning to South Korea in 2004, she rose to prominence as a member of the iconic girl group Girls' Generation, which debuted in 2007 and became one of the best-selling artists in South Korea, gaining international recognition.

In addition to her musical endeavors, Choi has made a significant impact in the television industry, showcasing her acting skills in various dramas. Her notable works include roles in 'The Third Hospital' (2012), 'Dating Agency: Cyrano' (2013), 'My Spring Days' (2014), 'Squad 38' (2016), 'Man in the Kitchen' (2017–2018), 'Tell Me What You Saw' (2020), and more recently, 'Run On' (2021), 'So I Married the Anti-fan' (2021), 'If You Wish Upon Me' (2022), 'Not Others' (2023), 'Second Shot at Love' (2025), and 'I Dol I' (2026).

In October 2017, Choi made a significant career move by leaving SM Entertainment while continuing her journey with Girls' Generation. She later joined Echo Global Group, where she released her first solo single, 'Winter Breath,' in 2018. In 2019, she transitioned to Saram Entertainment, further expanding her artistic horizons.

Choi's solo career took a new turn in October 2024 when she made her debut in Japan with the single 'Unstoppable,' released under the Avex Trax label, marking another milestone in her diverse career.
