Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Chris Killen

Chris Killen, born on October eighth, nineteen eighty-one, is a former international footballer from New Zealand. He spent his formative years in Wellington, where he began his football journey with Miramar Rangers. His talent was soon recognized, leading to a trial with Manchester City, after which he joined the club's youth academy.

Killen made his first senior appearances during a loan spell at Wrexham in September two thousand. The following season, he was loaned to Port Vale, showcasing his potential. In July two thousand two, he signed with Oldham Athletic for a transfer fee of two hundred fifty thousand pounds. Unfortunately, persistent injuries hindered his performance, and he was released on a free transfer.

In January two thousand six, Killen signed with Hibernian, where he made a significant impact by scoring eleven goals early in the two thousand six to seven season. However, a ruptured Achilles tendon cut his season short in January. After his contract with Hibernian expired in the summer of two thousand seven, he utilized the club's facilities to regain his fitness before signing a three-year contract with Celtic.

At Celtic, first-team opportunities were limited, leading to a loan to Norwich City during the two thousand eight to nine season. In January two thousand ten, he reunited with his former Celtic manager, Gordon Strachan, at Middlesbrough. Seven months later, he ventured to China to play for Shenzhen Ruby, later transferring to Chongqing in February two thousand twelve.
