Chris Renaud

Chris Renaud, born in December nineteen sixty-six, is a multifaceted American filmmaker, graphic designer, animator, screenwriter, actor, and voice actor. He has made significant contributions to the animation industry, particularly through his work with Illumination Entertainment.

Renaud is best known for directing several animated films, including the beloved Despicable Me franchise, where he helmed the first, second, and fourth installments. His collaboration with Pierre Coffin on the first two films showcased his talent for storytelling and character development. Additionally, he directed The Lorax in two thousand twelve and The Secret Life of Pets in two thousand sixteen, along with its sequel, The Secret Life of Pets 2, released in two thousand nineteen.
