Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Chris Sununu

Chris Sununu, born on November fifth, nineteen seventy-four, is a prominent American politician and businessperson who served as the eighty-second governor of New Hampshire from two thousand seventeen to two thousand twenty-five. A member of the Republican Party, he is the son of former New Hampshire governor and White House Chief of Staff John H. Sununu, and the younger brother of former U.S. representative and senator John E. Sununu.

Sununu earned his bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before entering politics, he was the chief executive officer of the Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire and served on the New Hampshire Executive Council from two thousand eleven to two thousand seventeen.

First elected governor in two thousand sixteen, Sununu was reelected in two thousand eighteen, twenty, and twenty-two, making him the second governor in New Hampshire history, after John Lynch, to secure a fourth term. His administration was characterized by a focus on fiscal conservatism, tax cuts, and business-friendly policies, alongside efforts to address the opioid crisis.

As a moderate Republican, Sununu navigated a complex landscape of social issues, supporting certain LGBTQ rights while also imposing restrictions on specific transgender rights. On July nineteenth, two thousand twenty-three, he announced his decision not to seek a fifth term, subsequently endorsing Kelly Ayotte, who won the election to succeed him.
