Christian Eriksen

Christian Eriksen, born on February 14, 1992, is a distinguished Danish professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg and the Denmark national team. His football journey began at the young age of eighteen when he joined Ajax in 2010, where he quickly made a name for himself by winning three Eredivisie titles and the KNVB Cup.

In 2013, Eriksen made a significant move to Tottenham Hotspur for a transfer fee of eleven million pounds. During his time at Spurs, he was honored as the club's Player of the Year on two occasions and earned a spot in the 2017–18 PFA Team of the Year. His remarkable contributions helped the team reach the UEFA Champions League final in 2019.

After a successful stint in England, Eriksen transferred to Inter Milan in 2020 for a fee of nineteen point seven million euros, where he celebrated winning a Serie A title. However, his career faced a critical moment during a UEFA Euro 2020 match on June 12, 2021, when he collapsed on the pitch due to a cardiac arrest. Thanks to prompt medical attention, he received cardiopulmonary resuscitation and was later fitted with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator.

Remarkably, Eriksen returned to professional football just eight months later, joining Premier League club Brentford before moving to Manchester United the following season. At United, he added an FA Cup and EFL Cup to his accolades before departing the club after the 2024–25 season.

On the international stage, Eriksen made his senior debut for Denmark in 2010 at the age of eighteen and has since become the nation's record appearance holder with over 140 caps. He has represented Denmark in six major tournaments and was notably the youngest player at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
