Christian Fuchs, born on April seventh, nineteen eighty-six, is a distinguished Austrian football manager and former player, currently at the helm of EFL League Two club Newport County. Renowned for his role as a left back, Fuchs was an integral part of the Leicester City squad that achieved the remarkable feat of winning the Premier League in the two thousand fifteen to sixteen season. His leadership qualities were further showcased when he captained the Austria national team during the UEFA Euro 2016.
Fuchs began his professional journey in football as a teenager with Wiener Neustadt, before securing his first professional contract at the age of seventeen with SV Mattersburg.
