Christilot Hanson-Boylen

Christilot Hanson-Boylen, born on April twelfth, nineteen forty-seven, is a distinguished Canadian equestrian renowned for her remarkable contributions to the sport of dressage. Competing as a member of the Canadian Equestrian Team, she showcased her exceptional talent at six Olympic Games spanning from nineteen sixty-four to nineteen ninety-two. Her most notable performance came in nineteen seventy-six, where she achieved seventh place in the individual competition and fifth in the team event.

Hailing from a diverse background, Christilot was born in present-day Indonesia to a Javanese-born Canadian dancer, Willy Blok Hanson, and an Australian soldier. In nineteen fifty-one, her family relocated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Following her parents' divorce in the early nineteen seventies, she continued to excel in her equestrian career, earning individual gold medals at the Pan American Games in nineteen seventy-one, nineteen seventy-five, and nineteen eighty-seven, making her the only athlete in Pan Am history to achieve this remarkable feat.

Throughout her career, Christilot has been a seven-time Canadian National Dressage Champion, solidifying her status as a leading figure in the equestrian community. In addition to her competitive achievements, she has contributed to the sport through her writings, having authored two books and produced a video focused on dressage. Furthermore, she played a pivotal role in founding the non-profit Canadian Dressage Owners and Riders Association (CADORA).

Currently residing in Germany, Christilot Hanson-Boylen retired from international team competition in July twenty-twenty, leaving behind a legacy of excellence and dedication to the sport of dressage.
