Christina Grimmie was an American singer, songwriter, and internet personality who captivated audiences with her powerful voice and engaging online presence. Born on March 12, 1994, she began her musical journey in 2009 by posting covers of popular songs on YouTube, quickly amassing a dedicated following.
In 2011, Grimmie released her debut EP, Find Me, which propelled her YouTube channel to over one million subscribers. Her popularity soared further when she released her debut studio album, With Love, in 2013, after reaching two million subscribers. Her talent caught the attention of industry giants, leading her to compete on season six of The Voice, where she finished in third place.
During her time on The Voice, coach Adam Levine announced his intention to sign her to his label, 222 Records, while Lil Wayne also expressed interest in her talent. Although she had a brief stint with Island Records, she continued to create music, releasing her second EP, Side A, in 2016. That same year, she made her acting debut in the film The Matchbreaker.
Tragically, on June 10, 2016, Grimmie's life was cut short when she was shot while signing autographs after a concert in Orlando, Florida. Her legacy continued posthumously with the release of Side B in 2017, followed by her second and final album, All Is Vanity, which was released later that year.
