With a remarkable career that includes five medals in major international competitions, she has secured four silvers and one bronze across the Olympics, World Championships, and Pan Pacific Championships.
Growing up in a family of educators, with both parents being high school teachers, Christine's journey in swimming began with lessons at a young age. She honed her skills at Tinley Park's Great Illinois Swim Club, where she made her mark by finishing third at the Illinois Junior Olympics at just ten years old.
Christine attended Grisson Middle High School before graduating from Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park, Illinois. During her junior high years, she briefly played volleyball but ultimately decided to focus solely on swimming as a freshman at Andrew High. Her dedication paid off when she became a state finalist in 2001 and clinched the Illinois High School State title in the 100 freestyle in November 2002, achieving an impressive time of fifty-one point sixteen seconds.
