Christine Nesbitt

Christine Nesbitt, born on May 17, 1985, is a distinguished Canadian retired long track speed skater, celebrated for her remarkable achievements in the sport. Residing in Vancouver, British Columbia, she has left an indelible mark on the world of speed skating.

Her crowning achievement came during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, where she clinched the gold medal in the 1000 metres event, showcasing her exceptional talent and determination. Prior to this, she earned a silver medal in the team pursuit at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, further establishing her as a formidable competitor on the international stage.

Nesbitt's accolades extend beyond the Olympics; she is a three-time world champion in the 1000 metres, having won titles in 2009, 2011, and 2012.
