Christine Slythe-Wynn

Christine Slythe-Wynn, born on August 10, 1961, is a distinguished former Canadian athlete known for her remarkable contributions to track and field. With a focus on middle-distance and hurdle events, she showcased her talent on the international stage during the 1980s.

Her Olympic journey began at the 1984 Summer Olympics, where she competed in the 800 metres, representing Canada with pride. Four years later, she further demonstrated her versatility by participating in the 400 metres hurdles at the 1988 Summer Olympics.

During her collegiate career, Slythe-Wynn was a standout competitor for the LSU Lady Tigers track and field team. In 1985, she achieved a significant milestone by winning the 1000 meters at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships, clocking an impressive time of 2:42.23.
