Christophe Capelle

Christophe Capelle, born on August 15, 1967, is a distinguished former French racing cyclist known for his remarkable achievements in the world of competitive cycling.

Capelle's most notable triumph came during the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, where he proudly secured a gold medal for France in the 4000-meter team pursuit. He was part of a talented team that included Philippe Ermenault, Jean-Michel Monin, and Francis Moreau, showcasing their exceptional skills and teamwork.

In the year 2000, Capelle represented France once again, this time in the points race and Madison events. Although he did not finish on the podium, his participation highlighted his versatility and commitment to the sport. Additionally, he competed in the Olympic road race but unfortunately did not complete the event.

Capelle's professional career also included racing for the Big Mat–Auber 93 team during the prestigious 1999 Tour de France, where he finished in 115th place, further solidifying his status as a dedicated athlete in the cycling community.
