Christopher A. Wray

Christopher A. Wray, born on December seventeenth, nineteen sixty-six, is a distinguished American attorney and civil servant. He made history as the eighth director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), a position he held from August second, two thousand seventeen, until January twenty twenty-five. Nominated by President Donald Trump, Wray succeeded James Comey and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on July thirtieth, two thousand seventeen, to serve a decade-long term.

Wray's journey began in New York City, where he graduated from Yale University in nineteen eighty-nine before pursuing a law degree at Yale Law School. His career in public service commenced in nineteen ninety-seven as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia. He later ascended to the role of Assistant Attorney General overseeing the Criminal Division during George W. Bush's administration from two thousand three to two thousand five.

After his tenure in government, Wray transitioned to the private sector, becoming a litigation partner at the prestigious law firm King & Spalding from two thousand five until two thousand sixteen.
