Christopher R. Browning

Christopher R. Browning, born on May twenty-second, nineteen forty-four, is a distinguished American historian renowned for his expertise in Holocaust studies. As a professor emeritus of history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Browning has dedicated his career to exploring the complexities of the Final Solution and the actions of those who enforced Nazi policies.

His academic journey began at Pacific Lutheran University, where he taught from nineteen seventy-four until nineteen ninety-nine, ultimately achieving the title of Distinguished Professor. In nineteen ninety-nine, he transitioned to UNC, taking on the role of Frank Porter Graham Professor of History.
