Chuck Behler

Chuck Behler, born on June twelfth, nineteen sixty-five, is an accomplished American drummer known for his tenure with the heavy metal band Megadeth from nineteen eighty-seven to nineteen eighty-nine. During this period, he contributed to the band's iconic album, So Far, So Good... So What!, which was released in nineteen eighty-eight. His time with Megadeth also included an appearance in the rockumentary The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years, showcasing the vibrant metal scene of the late eighties.

Before joining Megadeth, Behler was an active member of several bands, including The Meanies and Sinclair. His connection to Megadeth was facilitated by the band's previous drummer, Gar Samuelson, who had employed Behler as his drum tech. This relationship ultimately led to Behler stepping into the spotlight as a drummer for one of the most influential bands in heavy metal history.

Despite his musical talents, Behler's journey with Megadeth was marred by personal struggles. He was eventually let go by bandleader Dave Mustaine due to issues with substance abuse, specifically cocaine addiction. Following his departure, his position was filled by his own drum tech, Nick Menza, marking a significant shift in the band's lineup.

Currently, Chuck Behler is a member of Motor City Freaks and resides in the Detroit area. He remains connected to the music scene and is known to attend Megadeth shows whenever they perform nearby, reflecting his enduring passion for music and the heavy metal genre.
