Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Chuck Robb

Chuck Robb, born on June twenty-six, nineteen thirty-nine, is a distinguished American politician and former U.S. Marine Corps officer. He served as the sixty-fourth governor of Virginia from nineteen eighty-two to nineteen eighty-six, and later represented Virginia as a United States senator from nineteen eighty-nine until two thousand one. A member of the Democratic Party, Robb's political career was marked by his pursuit of a third Senate term in two thousand, which ultimately ended in defeat against Republican George Allen.

Robb's personal life is equally notable; he is the son-in-law of Lyndon B. Johnson, the thirty-sixth President of the United States, through his marriage to Lynda Bird Johnson in nineteen sixty-seven. This union was particularly significant as it marked the first marriage in the White House since nineteen forty-two.

In addition to his political endeavors, Robb co-chaired the Iraq Intelligence Commission alongside former U.S. Attorney Laurence Silberman from February two thousand four to December two thousand five. His expertise in intelligence matters led to his appointment in two thousand six to the President's Intelligence Advisory Board, further solidifying his role in national security.

Since two thousand one, Robb has also been a member of the board of trustees of the MITRE Corporation, contributing his extensive knowledge and experience to this important organization.
