Clare of Assisi

Clare of Assisi, born Chiara Offreduccio on July sixteenth, 1194, emerged as a pivotal figure in the religious landscape of medieval Italy. Her legacy continued to flourish after her passing on August eleventh, 1253, when her order was renamed the Order of Saint Clare, commonly known today as the Poor Clares.
