Claude Joseph, born on April fourth, nineteen eighty, is a prominent Haitian politician known for his significant roles in the country's government. He served as the acting Prime Minister of Haiti from April fourteenth to July twentieth, two thousand twenty-one, following the resignation of Joseph Jouthe. His tenure was marked by a turbulent political landscape, particularly after the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse on July seventh, two thousand twenty-one.

During this critical period, Joseph led the Council of Ministers, which held executive power amid a presidential vacancy. His leadership was contested by both acting Prime Minister-designate Ariel Henry and Senate leader Joseph Lambert, highlighting the intense political rivalry in Haiti. On July nineteenth, two thousand twenty-one, it was announced that Joseph would step down from the role of acting Prime Minister to allow Henry to take over, while he continued to serve as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship.
