Claudia Augusta

Claudia Augusta, the cherished only daughter of the Roman Emperor Nero and his second wife, Empress Poppaea Sabina, was born in Antium on January twenty-first, sixty-three. Her birth was celebrated with great joy, and both she and her mother were honored with the prestigious title of Augusta by Nero.

Tragically, Claudia's life was cut short when she succumbed to an unknown illness just five months after her birth. Her untimely death left a profound impact on her parents, who mourned deeply for their beloved daughter.

In a remarkable display of grief and reverence, Claudia was posthumously declared a goddess. Temples were adorned with gold statues in her honor, and circus games were organized to celebrate her brief life. Additionally, a shrine and a dedicated priest were established to ensure her memory would endure through the ages.
