Clayton Keller

Clayton Keller, born on July twenty-nine, nineteen ninety-eight, is an accomplished American professional ice hockey player who currently serves as a forward and captain for the Utah Mammoth in the National Hockey League (NHL). His journey in the sport began in Chesterfield, Missouri, where he was raised in Swansea, Illinois, surrounded by a talented group of young hockey players in the St. Louis area.

Keller's early career saw him attending Shattuck-Saint Mary's for two years before he joined the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in two thousand fourteen. During his time there, he set a remarkable program record by accumulating one hundred eighty-nine points over two seasons. Although he was selected by the Windsor Spitfires in the two thousand fourteen Ontario Hockey League Draft, Keller opted to attend Boston University, where he played for the Terriers in two thousand sixteen. His impressive performance earned him the Hockey East Rookie of the Year title and the Tim Taylor Award for the top NCAA Division I rookie.

After just one season at Boston University, Keller made the leap to the NHL, joining the Arizona Coyotes for the conclusion of the two thousand sixteen to seventeen season. He quickly established himself as a key player, participating in every game during his first two professional seasons. Keller led the Coyotes with sixty-five points in the two thousand seventeen to eighteen season and followed up with forty-seven points the next year, earning an NHL All-Star selection in two thousand nineteen.

In the two thousand twenty Stanley Cup playoffs, Keller made his postseason debut with Arizona, where the team faced elimination in the first round against the Colorado Avalanche. He reached a significant milestone by recording his two hundredth career point and received his second All-Star Game selection during the two thousand twenty-one to twenty-two season, despite suffering a season-ending leg injury in March. The two thousand twenty-two to twenty-three season saw him play all eighty-two games, tying the Coyotes' single-season points record with eighty-six points and earning his third All-Star Game selection.

Following the Coyotes' transition and the folding of the franchise, Keller was honored to be named the first captain in Utah Mammoth history ahead of the two thousand twenty-four to twenty-five season, marking a new chapter in his illustrious career.
