Clement Virgo

Clement Virgo, born on June first, nineteen sixty-six, is a distinguished Canadian film and television writer, producer, and director. He is the creative force behind Conquering Lion Pictures, a production company he co-founded with producer Damon D'Oliveira. Virgo's work is characterized by its depth and cultural resonance, making significant contributions to the Canadian film landscape.

One of his most notable achievements is the adaptation of Lawrence Hill's acclaimed novel, The Book of Negroes, into a six-part miniseries that aired in two countries: CBC Television in Canada and BET in the United States.
