Clifton James

Clifton James, born on May twenty-ninth, nineteen twenty-one, was a versatile American actor renowned for his work across film, theatre, and television. His career spanned several decades, during which he became a familiar face to audiences through his memorable character roles.

James is perhaps best remembered for his portrayal of the prison floorwalker Carr in the iconic film Cool Hand Luke, released in nineteen sixty-seven. His talent for embodying distinct characters was further showcased in his role as Sheriff J.W. Pepper in the James Bond series, appearing alongside Roger Moore in both Live and Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun, released in nineteen seventy-three and nineteen seventy-four, respectively.
