Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Clint Hocking

Clint Hocking, born on September eighteenth, nineteen seventy-two, is a prominent Canadian video game designer and director known for his innovative contributions to the gaming industry. He began his career at Ubisoft, where he made a significant impact by designing and scripting the acclaimed title, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, released in two thousand two.

Hocking's rise to fame came with his direction of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory in two thousand five, a project that garnered both critical acclaim and commercial success. He continued to build on this momentum with the direction of Far Cry 2 in two thousand eight, which was also well-received by critics.

In two thousand ten, seeking new challenges, Hocking departed from Ubisoft Montreal, feeling he had become too comfortable in his role. He subsequently held various senior positions at LucasArts, Valve, and Amazon Game Studios until two thousand fifteen, during which time he did not release any new games. He returned to Ubisoft, this time at their Toronto studio, where he directed Watch Dogs: Legion in two thousand twenty, a title that received mixed reviews.

By July twenty twenty-one, Hocking returned to the Montreal studio, where he was set to direct Assassin's Creed: Codename Hexe and co-direct the Assassin's Creed Infinity game platform alongside Jonathan Dumont. However, he left the studio in twenty twenty-six. Throughout his career, Hocking has also contributed to the gaming community by writing monthly columns for the video game magazine Edge and is credited with coining the term 'ludonarrative dissonance.'
