Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Coffi Codjia

Coffi Codjia, born on December ninth, nineteen sixty-seven, is a distinguished football referee from Benin. His journey in officiating began in nineteen ninety-four when he became an international referee, marking the start of a notable career in the world of football.

Codjia's expertise on the field led him to officiate at prestigious tournaments, including the FIFA World Cup in two thousand two and two thousand six, as well as the FIFA Confederations Cup in nineteen ninety-nine and two thousand three. His remarkable contributions to the African Cup of Nations are noteworthy, where he served as a referee in multiple editions from two thousand to two thousand ten, including the honor of officiating the final in two thousand eight.

However, his career faced challenges, notably when he was indefinitely suspended by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for not taking action against Algeria's Faouzi Chaouchi during the semi-final match of the two thousand ten African Cup of Nations against Egypt. Despite the incident, where Chaouchi was later penalized with a three-match ban, Codjia's reputation as a referee remained intact.

In two thousand ten, Codjia was among the thirty-eight preselected referees for the FIFA World Cup, although he did not make the final cut of thirty. Nevertheless, he made a comeback to international officiating in September of the same year, refereeing a qualifying match for the two thousand twelve Africa Cup of Nations between Liberia and Zimbabwe in Monrovia.
