Conor Washington

Conor Washington, born on May 18, 1992, is a talented professional footballer who currently plays as a striker for Matlock Town in the Northern Premier League Division One East. His journey in football began in the non-league circuit with St. Ives Town, where he showcased his potential before making a significant move to Newport County for a fee of five thousand pounds in 2012.

Washington's impact at Newport was profound, as he played a crucial role in helping the team secure promotion back to The Football League through the play-offs. His performances caught the attention of larger clubs, leading to a transfer to Peterborough United in January 2014. After two successful years, he made another leap in his career by signing with Queens Park Rangers for an undisclosed fee.

In 2018, Washington left QPR by mutual consent and joined Sheffield United, furthering his experience in competitive football. His career took him north of the border in June 2019 when he signed with Scottish club Hearts.
