Conrad I of Germany

Conrad I, known as the Younger, was born around the year eight hundred eighty-one and became a significant figure in the history of East Francia. His reign as king began in nine hundred eleven and lasted until his death on December twenty-third, nine hundred eighteen. Notably, he was the first monarch not belonging to the Carolingian dynasty, marking a pivotal shift in the region's leadership.

His election as king followed the untimely death of the young King Louis the Child, and he was chosen by the influential rulers of the East Frankish stem duchies. This selection process highlighted the evolving political landscape of the time, where the nobility played a crucial role in determining their leader.
