Constantine II of Georgia, born in the year fourteen forty-seven, was a prominent figure in the Bagrationi dynasty, serving as the last king of United Georgia. His reign began in fourteen seventy-eight and continued until his death in fifteen oh five, marking a significant period in Georgian history.

During the early 1490s, Constantine II faced considerable challenges as he was compelled to acknowledge the independence of rival rulers in Imereti and Kakheti. This shift in power dynamics forced him to limit his authority primarily to the region of Kartli, a testament to the turbulent political landscape of the time.
