His football journey commenced in nineteen sixty-five at his hometown club, Metalul Târgoviște, where he laid the foundation for a remarkable career.

After his initial years, Dinu made a significant impact at Dinamo București, where he spent the remainder of his playing days. During his tenure, he achieved remarkable success, securing eight domestic trophies and establishing himself as a key player.
