Corrie ten Boom

Corrie ten Boom, born on April fifteenth, nineteen hundred and ninety-two, was a remarkable Dutch watchmaker who transformed her life into that of a courageous Christian writer and public speaker. Alongside her father, Casper ten Boom, and her sister, Betsie ten Boom, she played a pivotal role in the resistance against the Nazi regime during World War II.

During this dark period, Corrie and her family opened their home to shelter numerous Jewish individuals, providing them with a safe haven from persecution. Their selfless acts of bravery ultimately led to their capture, and Corrie was arrested and sent to the Ravensbrück concentration camp, where she faced unimaginable hardships.

Despite the dire circumstances, Corrie's faith in God remained unshaken. Her experiences in the concentration camp inspired her to write her most famous work, 'The Hiding Place.' This poignant autobiography recounts her family's efforts to save lives and highlights the profound hope she found in her faith, even in the bleakest of times.
