Costel Pantilimon, born on February first, nineteen eighty-seven, is a retired Romanian professional footballer renowned for his role as a goalkeeper. His football journey commenced at Politehnica Timișoara, where he honed his skills before making a significant leap to the Premier League.

In two thousand eleven, Pantilimon signed with Manchester City on an initial loan, stepping in as a backup to the established Joe Hart. His moment of prominence arrived during the two thousand thirteen to fourteen season when he became the first-choice goalkeeper, contributing to the team's League Cup triumph.

Following his successful stint at City, he transitioned to Sunderland and later joined Watford in two thousand sixteen. Despite limited appearances in the Premier League, he showcased his talent during loan spells at Deportivo La Coruña and Nottingham Forest, eventually securing a permanent deal with Forest in two thousand eighteen.
