Craig Eastmond, born on December ninth, nineteen ninety, is an English professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for National League South club Eastbourne Borough. His versatility allows him to also perform effectively as a right-back, showcasing his adaptability on the field.
A product of the prestigious Arsenal Academy, Eastmond gained recognition during the 2008–09 FA Youth Cup. He made ten first team appearances for Arsenal between two thousand nine and two thousand thirteen, participating in various competitions including the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, and UEFA Champions League.
Throughout his career, Eastmond experienced three loan spells away from Arsenal. In two thousand eleven, he joined Millwall, where he had spent part of his early youth career. The following year, he was loaned to Wycombe Wanderers and Colchester United, eventually signing with Colchester on a permanent basis in two thousand thirteen after his contract with Arsenal expired. He made over fifty appearances for Colchester before his release in February two thousand fifteen.
Eastmond's journey continued at Sutton United, where he played a pivotal role in the club's historic achievements. During the two thousand sixteen to seventeen season, he contributed to Sutton becoming only the ninth non-League side to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup since nineteen forty-five. In the two thousand twenty to twenty-one season, he captained the team to victory in the National League, securing promotion to the English Football League for the first time in the club's one hundred twenty-three-year history.
