Cris Morena

María Cristina De Giacomi, known professionally as Cris Morena, was born on August 23, 1956, in Argentina. She has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry as an award-winning television producer, actress, and musician. With a diverse career that spans acting, songwriting, and producing, she has become a household name in her country.

Morena is celebrated for creating some of Argentina's most beloved youth-oriented television shows, including Jugate Conmigo, Chiquititas, Rebelde Way, Floricienta, Alma Pirata, and Casi Ángeles. Her tenure at Telefe from 1991 to 2001 laid the groundwork for her success, after which she founded the Cris Morena Group, launching her first independent production, Rebelde Way, in two thousand two.

Beyond her professional achievements, Cris Morena is also a devoted mother to actress Romina Yan and producer Tomás Yankelevich. Following a significant hiatus from the industry, she has recently announced two new projects for the streaming service Max: Te quiero y me duele, inspired by a song for her late daughter, and Margarita, a spin-off of Floricienta.
