Curtis Axel, born on October first, nineteen seventy-nine, is a prominent figure in the world of professional wrestling. Known for his dynamic performances, he made a significant impact during his tenure with WWE from two thousand seven to two thousand twenty, where he showcased his talents under the ring names Curtis Axel and Michael McGillicutty.

His journey began when he signed with WWE in two thousand seven, initially competing in their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). There, he quickly established himself as a formidable competitor, capturing the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship once and the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship on four occasions.

In two thousand ten, he transitioned to WWE's main roster as part of The Nexus after competing on NXT. His career took a notable turn in two thousand thirteen when he adopted the ring name Curtis Axel, a tribute to his father, Curt Hennig, and grandfather, Larry 'The Axe' Hennig.
